Back in 2004, Dwyer, a manufacture of custom compact kitchens, tasked us with delivering an online configuration tool. This wasn't too common back then. Thankfully, they weren't looking for a direct purchase tool. They wanted to increase qualified leads, streamline their sales and production-planning process, spotlight the flexibility of custom configuration, and deliver oft-requested resources to architects and designers. Leading a small graphic, UX, and dev team we worked in parallel to dig in, figure it out and get it built. I even got to design a database schema, and backend admin flow to populate/maintain the catalog.
